While electric bikes are gaining popularity they are still designed for people who are reasonably fit and agile.
Others have motors that are supposed to have power, but in many cases they lack adequate power for larger people. Or people with knee and hip problems.
We designed version one but also found that the power was lacking so we redesigned the bike in Version 2. We added 40% greater power from the 750 watt motor but still made sure it is a street legal electric moped.
Since it is an outdoors product, with version 3 we developed one of the first waterprrof electric moped motors to make sure it is safe in all weather conditions.
2. We received feedback due to the increase of power in our bikes people wanted more battery options.
In version 2 we added 40% more power and Torque, the result was using the battery faster when people keep the bike at full power.
Since the release we improved the battery system and wiring to accomodate the power.
We also released a 20 ampH lithium battery to ensure people could go longer distances.
With Version 3 we have added more choice with two additional Lithium battery sizes one less expensive smaller 14 ampH and a larget 26 ampH.
3. We know from feedback most electric bikes were not designed for larger or less agile people
We recieved feedbackfrom, that people wanted a bike with wider seat since they were not as athletic as they used to be.
They needed a low center of the bike to make it easy to get on and off.
They also wanted full suspension to make it more comfortable to ride.
But still maintain the power, range and speed from their street legal electric moped.

Why did you release Version 3?
Over the past 5 years we have improved the Evolt’s street legal electric moped several times.
We move to a new version only when we make major changes such as completely different packing and assembly processes or major changes to battery or motors like the 40% upgrade of power, improvements to battery wiring and introduction of a Lithium battery in Version 2.
Version 1 had 45 improvements before the major release of Version 2.

We know the base street legal electric moped is now stable, so there is an opportunity to create models for sectors of the market that had not been catered for.
We have been working on new technology that has never been seen in this sector of the market.
Our water resistant motor is just one of the latest break through’s.
The change in packing, shipping and assembly is also a radical change.
We are offering additional Lithium battery options, with a smaller replacement for the silicon gel battery and a option for double the range.

We improved the Power of the Evolts from Version one to version two with a 40% increase in Power.
In version three street legal electric moped motor, not only did we improve the use of the voltage in the motor but we are introducing one of the worlds first waterproof tested electric motors on the market.
We originally just tested in water.
But when the street legal electric moped is being used it may need to go through mud or in dry conditions it could be effected by dust.
Realizing this may efect the special seals we developed we began adding grit and sand to the test tanks.
We tested many times then ran the motor for 6,000 miles or 10,000 kilometers immersed in mud.

We have now introduced the latest Digital speedometer.
The feedback on the last version’s was that the information displayed was too small the see easily while riding.

Economical Silica Gel or More Lithium battery options
The Evolts-V3 street legal electric moped comes standard with a Economical Silica Gel battery.
This is less expensive to purchase your street legal electric moped and also much less expensive to replace after years of use.
If most of the usage of the street legal electric moped is at slower speed or not very long distance this battery type is adequate.
The Silica Gel batteries are Inert and present no fire hazard, although they are heavier than the Lithium batteries.
Apart from the standard silica Gel battery we have 3 Lithium battery options.
The options are as follows:
1. A 14ampH lithium battery, is a lighter and has about 10% more range than the silica gel battery.
2. A 20 ampH lithium battery, that adds about 40% range from the standard Silica gel battery for people needing extended range.
3. A 26 ampH lithium battery, that doubles the range from the standard 14 ah Silica gel battery, for people needing extended range or do not want to charge the battery as often.

How long do electric mopeds last?
The range of the batteries, is the major source of incorrect information provided by dealers and distributors.
The actual distance the street legal electric moped can cover depends on many factors.
But there are some totall unrealistic ranges promised.
The Motor is defined in Watt hours and the batteries in Amp hours. The distance should be based on reasonably flat with approx 150lb rider. 750 watt means it uses 0.75 kilowatt per hour. The battery is the Voltage by the amperage. 48 volt 12 ampH is 0.53 Kilowatt.
On full power is will last about 45 minutes. On normal use it will last about an hour on normal use.
