Learning to ride a bike or using a kick scooter seems to be nearly every child’s dream.
It is also a time when as a parent or grandparent we feel proud watching them master staying upright.
In the early stages holding on to them as they learn is not so difficult, the problem seems to be when they are able to ride it unassisted.
They want to go to the park or around the neighborhood, but how to keep up and protect them if you are not an athlete.
With so many stories of accidents, because people in vehicles did not see children on bikes the anxiety increases.
In 2015 we designed and started manufacturing an adult electric scooter that are easy access to get on and off.
That also have a comfortable wide seat.
We had many people buy it from our distributor, some used it to monitor their children while they were riding their bikes.
From these users of the adult electric scooter, the feedback we got was. “Sometimes it could be difficult to learn to ride the bike after so many years of not using a two-wheeler.”
Also, people were having trouble maintaining the low speed needed, to follow the children or ride beside them.
Earlier this year we started working on, ways to solve this problem.
While the bike can be ridden using the pedals, most people were using the throttle.
Due to the power, small adjustments of the throttle could increase the speed too much.
Armed with this information we designed a new controller for the bike, using a three-speed system.
Setting one: Set to approx. 5 MPH as you learn to ride again, this helps to keep the bike under tighter control.
It helps keep decrease the response of the throttle making the speed more manageable.
Once you are confident riding and controlling the bike this setting allows people to pedal along with the bike at about 50/50% to get some exercise without straining themselves.
The setting also makes it easy to ride following the children or even to ride next to them.
You can adjust the speed with the pedals or the throttle, without the fear of taking off too fast.
It’s helpful in public areas where there is more chance of someone walking in front of you.
Setting Two is set to about 10 MPH.
Once you get used to the bike you can increase the speed gradually.
Once the children become competent on the bike they want to ride faster so you need the capacity to be able to keep up.
For many people, this is a very comfortable speed in public areas, neighborhoods or communities that don’t want you riding too fast.
Setting three is 20 MPH or full power.
When monitoring the people riding bikes there may not be many cases where you need full power except for going up steeper hills.
After you have been riding for a while there could be occasions where you want full power.
In addition to the three-speed the existing safety features such as turning indicators, Hydraulic Disk front brake, LED lights, double button horn to warn people you are approaching.

Three Speed Control
With the 40% increase of power in Evolts adult electric scooter from Version one to version two.
Less experienced riders told us the power made the Evolts model harder to re-learn to ride or more difficult when using the bike at lower speeds.
So we developed a new 3 speed controller and system for the adult electric scooter.
Setting one: Set to approx. 5 MPH.
While you are re-learning to ride, this is helps to keep the bike acceleration under control. The full throttle response up to 5 MPH makes it easier to move slowly.
This is also helpful when you are riding next to or behind children to maintain an even speed.

Economical Silica Gel or More Lithium battery options
The Evolts-l3 adult electric scooter comes standard with a Economical Silica Gel battery.
This is less expensive to purchase your adult electric scooter and also much less expensive to replace after years of use.
With most of the usage of the adult electric scooter at lower speed and possibly not very long distance this battery type is adequate, for this type of use.
The Silica Gel batteries are Inert and present no fire hazard, although they are heavier than the Lithium batteries.
Apart from the standard silica Gel battery we have 3 Lithium battery options.
The options are as follows:
1. A 14ampH lithium battery, is a lighter and has about 10% more range than the silica gel battery.
2. A 20 ampH lithium battery, that adds about 40% range from the standard Silica gel battery for people needing extended range.
